Taiwan Expo launched in Thailand for the first time

The first Taiwan Expo held in Thailand launched on Thursday in Bangkok. The theme of this year’s expo is “Let’s TIE Together”.

Co-hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and its Thai counterpart, the expo aims to showcase the best of Taiwan to people in Thailand and promote new business opportunities.

A total of 210 companies have occupied booths in eight categories. They include green technology, health and medicare, smart city, tourism, among others.

TAITRA Chair James Huang said that Thailand has shown significant economic growth in the last few years. Taiwan is a world leader in a number of fields, including information communication technologies, agricultural technologies, and green energy. Huang said that Taiwan’s technical prowess could greatly benefit Thailand and help with its development.
