Taiwanese business leaders shared their experiences of doing business in India at a forum in the country on Thursday. The forum is part of the 2018 Taiwan Expo in India organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Joe Ko, the president of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Delhi, said India is not a country in which to make money quickly but one where large profits can be made through patience and persistence. Ko led his Victor Rackets company into the Indian sports equipment market four years ago.
A need for patience was also raised by Wang Han-chung of Delta Electronics. Wang said in India he needs to ask his employees continual questions to find out what is going on. He said Taiwanese businesses investing in India should be aware that doing business in India requires a different management style compared to doing business in Taiwan.
